Go to any gym make sure it’s cheap and make sure you know what type of work out you are doing.
-pull ups (palms facing away from you)
-chin ups (palms facing you)
-wide chin ups
-bicep curls
-pushups
-wide spread pushups
-narrow pushups
Well keep in mind the fastest may not be the healthiest. Keep a diet that is high in protein and creatine (if you want to buy supplements). Work out in cycles of 3-5 weeks on (depending on metabolism), 1 week off. Make your sets be 5 of 4 reps for all exercises you do. Working all muscles would be helpful obviously. Good luck to ya!
it’s impossible to build muscle “fast” unless you are doing drugs or have some really freaky genetics. 5-10 lbs. in 3-4 months is probably not going to happen. 5-10 lbs in a year is more realistic and probably only if you are a newbie. As far as exercises….stick entirely to compound exercises. Isolation work is unecessary and a waste of your limited recovery ability. I would stick to 6 exercise or less for the entire body. Perhaps Squats, Deadlift, Shrugs, Bench, Overhead barbell press and Barbell rowing. I currently do whole body workouts but have done splits in the past. I thrive on very low volume and very high frequency. I tried HIT several times and found it to be a total waste of time. Read Dinosaur Training by Brooks Kubik. it is the bible of weight lifting. Burn all other books (except for Super Squats by Strossen). Squating is your #1 exercise for overall growth.
