Is it possible to build muscle this fast?

I would like to weigh around 11 stone by around Christmas (25th December). I currently weigh 10 Stone.

I am not a member of a gym, but if I do 50 Press ups, 35 dumbell curls (12kg), and 40 sit ups a day, and take in around 80g of protein each day would it be possible, or am I not doing enough?

Also would a muscle and weight gainer work?

Paleo Diet: How Can I Gain Weight on This Diet?

I weight 139 pounds 19% body fat and work out 3X week. Just started the Paleo diet and wondering how I can gain weight/muscle without losing weight on this diet? How can I be in a net caloric gain on this diet?

Thanks,

an someone explain to me why go you gain weight on extreme diets?

I have two sets of information:

First info:

You burn fat before muscle. But when you go off the diet your body will store more fat than it did before. When you go on an extreme diet, you body thinks there is a famine and adjusts your metabolism to protect you from starvation. That means you will store more fat from the foods you eat after you go off your diet because you body is trying to safeguard against future famine situations. That’s why extreme diets can actually make you fatter in the long term.

Second info:
The body CAN NOT change resting metabolic rate per unit of fat-free body mass. Studies have shown this. Your resting metabolic rate will decrease as you lose muscle. Losing fat alone will not lower your RMR (and note that you will need to follow a very sensible program to lose fat without losing muscle). You have probably heard that people who go on crash diets end up lowering their metabolic rate, which means when they go off the diet, they put on fat more easily than before they started. This is because they have lost muscle, they have lowered their metabolic rate.
However, the amount of energy burnt per unit of fat-free weight does not change; poor dieters end up with fewer units of fat-free weight, and that’s where their vicious cycle comes from.

Basically one person is saying that you burn fat, but when you get off the diet because your in starvation mode you just gain it all back.
The other person is saying you burn fat and muscle so when you go off the diet your metabolic rate is lower (because you lost muscle) and thus you gain weight.
I really want to know why you gain weight on extreme diets..an someone explain it for me.
